Originally self-published in 2002 and 2003, the graphic novel was subsequently released by Visprint in 2003 and won the Manila Critics Circle National Book Award. The stage musical (by Tanghalang Pilipino) and the feature film (by Regal Entertainment) followed in 2006. As of this writing, the animated feature adaptation by Rocketsheep Studio is being developed. (05/2020)
